Sports Day

We partnered with Children of Promise, a New York City-based nonprofit supporting children impacted by parental incarceration, and an organization we've been proud to work closely with for the past four years, to host a Youth Sports Day for over 50 students ages 8-9 from Brooklyn and the Bronx.

With the support of New Balance, the students spent the day playing soccer, flag football, and double dutch, each receiving performance footwear and t-shirts to take home. To bring this experience to life, we collaborated with Sports United, a multi-sport nonprofit dedicated to youth development, to lead flag football, and the National Association for Double Dutch Orgs to bring energy and expertise to double dutch.

Two of our Kith employees lent their coaching and playing experience to lead the soccer portion of the day, and thanks to Stop & Shop, our young athletes stayed hydrated and cool with waters, icees, and watermelon throughout the day.

What began as a simple idea to give CoP students an opportunity to step outside their usual environment, manifested into a fun and active day filled with movement, mentorship, and community spirit.
